Description: This is a 14 credit hour continuing education distance-learning course. This course is designed as a tool to meet the requirements laid out in Florida Statute 489.115 and Board Rule 61G4-18.001 – Continuing Education Requirements for Certified and Registered Contractors. This course is specifically intended only for Division I Contractors which include: General, Building and Residential Contractors. Topics in this 14 hour block include: one (1) hour advanced module on the Florida Building Code; one (1) hour workers compensation; one (1) hour workplace safety; one (1) hour wind mitigation; one (1) hour laws and rules; one (1) hour General and the remaining eight (8) hours on business practice courses. API Reports all continuing education hours to the board.
